Beginners Courses

Thinking of keeping chickens in your back garden as a source of fresh eggs ? New to keeping chickens and want a little guidance or advice ? Then our beginners course is just what you need.

Our beginners course runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays and will guide you through all the aspects of keeping chickens in your garden for eggs. The course lasts for 2 hours, and includes the following:

• Choosing the right breed of chicken for you.
• Choosing your housing (ensuring sufficient space) and bedding.
• Feeding and caring for your chickens.
• Keeping your chickens healthy.
• Correct handling of your chickens

At the end of the course there is a question and answers session where you can ask us any questions that you may have.

We also have an information pack that you can take away with you for reference.
